On this date in baseball history - John Danks threw eight innings of shut-out baseball, aided by a Ken Griffey Jr. outfield assist; Jim Thome produced the only run of the game with a solo shot in the seventh; and a diving catch by Brian Anderson for the final out helped the White Sox beat the Minnesota Twins, 1-0, in Game 163 for the AL Central crown. Also known as “The Blackout Game.” (September 30th, 2008)
