Minnie Minoso: Hall-Worthy Hero
On November 3, Chicago White Sox legend Orestes “Minnie” Minoso was among 10 prominent baseball figures named as candidates for induction into Baseball’s Hall of Fame Class of 2012. The 16-member “Golden Era” Committee - named for and formed to consider the Hall of Fame candidacies of players from baseball’s magical era of 1947-1972 - will vote on the 10 candidates at the Winter Meetings in December.
